Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is a national level entrance examination conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) every year as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. The CMAT is a three hour computer based online test which is conducted in a single session to evaluate the candidate’s ability across various segments like Quantitative Technique, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. This test facilitates Institutions to select suitable graduate candidates for admission in all Management programs. The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE-Approved Institutions/University Departments/Constituent Colleges/Affiliated Colleges.
Common Admission Test (CAT)
IIMs are considered India’s premier national institutes providing quality education in management and research. IIMs primarily offer post graduate, doctoral and executive education programmes. The flagship programme of IIM, is the two year post graduate diploma popularly known as Master of Business Administration (MBA). These two year programmes are residential in nature. The Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) is a fulltime doctoral level programme in management and research equivalent to Ph.D degree. The Executive Post Graduate programmes are targeted for working professionals.
Admission to the two year MBA programmes in IIMs are on merit, based on a rigorous selection process comprising of Group Discussions, Written Ability Test, Personal Interview and scores in the Common Admission Test which is commonly known as CAT. CAT is a management aptitude test conducted by the IIMs primarily to evaluate and shortlist candidates for the post graduate programme. It is a computer based exam available for eager and eligible candidates to register and take once a year.
AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA)
Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) offers the AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA), as a credible, comprehensive and single-window test for admissions to different postgraduate management programmes. The administration and scoring is professionally done. ATMA scores supplied are highly dependable indicators of the candidate’s suitability for management education and career. The candidates will be supplied with the percentile scores in verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, analyzing and synthesizing ability.
ATMA has been approved by the Ministry of Human Resource Development of the Government of India for admission on All India Basis to the MBA / PGDM and other Postgraduate Programmes like MCA depending on the regulations of the respective universities.
Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)

Management Aptitude Test (MAT)
Management Aptitude Test (MAT), conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA), is a standardised test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School – national or international – can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)
The Xavier Aptitude Test is an all-India test conducted by Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI) as an entrance exam for admission to the post graduate programs in management courses of several management institutes all over India.
Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test
Since 2007, candidates aspiring to join MBA programs offered by institutes of Symbiosis International University have to take the common, mandatory Symbiosis National Aptitude (SNAP) Test. A candidate used to register for SNAP Test & then register with the institutes offering his/ her choice of program by paying separate institution registration fees. If shortlisted, he/she would then attend the GE-PIWAT process conducted by each of these institutes.
TISS National Entrance Test (TISSNET)
TISSNET is a national level post graduate entrance exam for admissions to Masters in Social Work and related programs offered by Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS).

Conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA), KMAT is the gateway to more than 150 + AICTE-approved University-affiliated B-schools in Bangalore and Karnataka.
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET)
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2016 is conducted by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the Government of Tamil Nadu for the candidates who seek admission to 1) M.B.A., 2) M.C.A. and 3) M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Arch. / M.Plan. Degree Programmes.
NALSAR Management Entrance Test (N-MET)
NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad conducts NALSAR Management Entrance Test (N-MET) for admission to MBA Courses.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) conducts OPENMAT Exam for admission to Management Programs offered through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. The OPENMAT entrance test is conducted twice every year usually in the months August and February.
Admission to MBA course in various Universities/Institutions in Kerala is done through KMAT Kerala. All candidates desirous of getting MBA admission to Universities/ Institutions in Kerala and who have not qualified CAT/MAT/CMAT, the KMAT is mandatory.
